Social Distancing by Species
Spreading illness is a two way street. Bats have been blamed for plenty of diseases, but we’re the ones who insist on eating them). Now, let’s consider the bat perspective. If we can catch corona from a bat, can a bat catch corona (or worse) from us? I suggest a truce between our species. No more bat soup or bat burgers or whatever other weird bat stuff gets prepared, slaughtered, and sold in those icky wild food markets. And the bats for their part should here forthwith quit nipping us at night in the park, flying into women’s beehive hairdos, and turning us into vampires (hm, seems like the bats are already doing their part to get along and we’re being the beasts here).
